Stories We Helped Become True At Touched by T&A Inc., the lives we touch are the true measure of our success. Each young person who walks through our doors has a unique story, and we are honored to play a role in helping them write their next chapters. Here are just a few stories of transformation from the youth we’ve had the privilege to serve: 1. Jahzi’s Rise in Carpentry Jahzi, a 16-year-old with a natural knack for building things, found his passion in our carpentry program. Initially unsure about his future, Jahzi learned how to design and construct furniture with precision and creativity. His proudest moment came when he built a custom bench for his local community center. Today, he’s exploring career paths in construction and hopes to one day start his own business, mentoring other young men like himself. 2. Calvion’s Automotive Dream At just 13 years old, Calvion joined our automobile engineering program eager to work with his hands. Fascinated by how engines worked, he quickly became one of the most dedicated students, mastering oil changes and learning to diagnose car issues. His enthusiasm has inspired his family, and now Calvion dreams of opening an auto repair shop where his brothers can work alongside him. 3. Kaylen’s Leadership in the Garden Kaylen, a 12-year-old with a big heart and a curious mind, discovered his green thumb through our agriculture program. He loved learning how to grow fresh produce and even led his peers in creating a community garden that now provides vegetables to families in need. Kaylen says he’s learned not only about farming but also about teamwork and giving back to others. 4. Omarian’s Culinary Adventure Nine-year-old Omarian came to us with a love for food but no idea how to cook. In our cooking class, he learned to prepare simple, healthy meals and developed a special talent for baking. His cookies became a hit with the group, and he’s now working on his own recipes, dreaming of becoming a professional pastry chef someday. 5. Amaria’s Stitch of Creativity Amaria, an 11-year-old with a love for fashion, blossomed in our sewing program. She went from learning basic stitching to creating her own designs, including a beautiful dress she proudly showcased at one of our community events. Amaria’s creativity and determination have inspired her to pursue a future in fashion design. 6. Alyrica’s First Steps in Confidence At just 7 years old, Alyrica was shy and hesitant to try new things. But in our youth programs, she found her voice. She started with simple activities like gardening and sewing and grew to love being part of a team. Now, Alyrica is confident in sharing her ideas and helping others, proving that even the smallest steps can lead to big transformations. Each of these stories reflects the mission of Touched by T&A Inc.—to empower youth with the skills, confidence, and faith they need to dream big and achieve even bigger. Together, we’re building futures, one child at a time.
